We had a great time playing at the Moonah Arts Centre on July 31! Here are some pix, just in case you weren't there. The combination exhibition/performance felt really good.
Here are some pics from the exhibition we had at the Moonah Arts Centre before our concert. It looked really good!
The CDs are covering an iPod-based sound system. Each one plays a loop from one of the instruments we use. You can hear them separately or together in any combination you choose.
July 22-30 We'll have an exhibition of the instruments we use, and some others, at the Moonah Arts Centre. On Friday, July 31 we'll present a concert with them. The Moonah Arts Centre is a great venue with good acoustics.
The Friday night concert starts at 7:30 pm. Entry is by gold coin donation. What a deal! Bring all your southern friends!
Our next performance is at the 2009 National Conference of the Australian Society for Music Education. It's at the Opening Ceremony, at 8:30 in the morning!!! Can we do it?
After that, we're on from 10:45-11:15 during the morning tea break.
If you're at the conference, check us out (Grand Chancellor Hotel, Launceston)
Hey, you could even register just to see us! http://www.cdesign.com.au/asme2009/pages/theme.htm
We have 2 concerts: Saturday about 3 in the Middle Pub, and Sunday about 4:30 at Carmel Hall. And when we aren't playing, our instruments will be on display in the Gingernutt Gallery, 31 Mary Street.
We've been working hard on the exhibition - it will have sound examples of 4 of the instrments that can be played as you gaze at the amazing Greenwood workmanship.
We'll also pop into the gallery to do demonstrations throughout the festival.
